Ukraine is not involved in the murder of journalist and political scientist Darya Dugina, daughter of philosopher Alexander Dugin Darya, President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference after the Crimean Platform summit.
“This is definitely not our responsibility. This is not a citizen of our country, she does not interest us. And she was not on the territory of Ukraine»,— he said, answering the related question.
29-year-old journalist Daria Dugina died on the evening of August 20. She was returning home from the Tradition festival, her car exploded on the Mozhaisk highway near the village of Bolshie Vyazemy in the Moscow region. Her father, the philosopher Alexander Dugin, planned to go with her, but got into another car, wrote the Telegram channel «112». The Investigative Committee considered that the murder was ordered.
Two days after Dugina's death, the Federal Security Service announced that it had solved the murder. According to the FSB, the crime was prepared by the Ukrainian special services, and the perpetrator was Ukrainian citizen Natalya Vovk, who arrived in Russia on July 23 with her daughter born in 2010. They lived in the same house as Dugin, and after the car was blown up, they drove through the Pskov region to Estonia, the FSB said.
Together with the statement about the disclosure of the case, the FSB published a video with the movements of Vovk: how she and her daughter enter to Russia, move into the same house with Dugina and leave for Estonia.
