Public Enemy’s Chuck D Forced To Apologize For Defending R. Kelly

R. Kelly’s recent verdict was not a surprise to many, but some people still feel that the R&B singer was taken down for being a black man. One person who has been sympathetic to the singer’s plight is Chuck D, whose commentary seems to have made him public enemy number one in a literal sense.

On Tuesday night, Chuck D started a thread on Twitter in which he seemed to make excuses for the singer who has been accused of rape, sexual abuse, trafficking and having sexual contact with minors over a three-decade period starting in the 1990s.

He compared R. Kelly’s life to that of Ike Turner and Rick James. “Abused in his youth… an addict as a adult… Ike Turner served 18 months in prison.. Rick James did similar time,” he said in one tweet. “Ike came out a changed positive human being. How long should R Kelly spend in prison -and does a USA system give a man a chance for a man to change his world around?”

However, many of his followers were surprised at his comments as both Chuck and Public Enemy have been advocating for social justice over the last 40 years. However, he said his stance is “not a sympathetic question at all. Not the least.”

Many of his followers did not like the comparisons made to Turner and James, who both served time, but it was for drug-induced crimes. In 1989, Turner, who was the former husband (and also abuser) to singer Tina Turner, was sentenced to four years behind bars for cocaine possession. (He, however, was released early after serving only served 18 months).

On the other hand, “Mary Jane” singer James was given three years behind bars for kidnapping torturing two women during a crack cocaine-induced binge.

R. Kelly

However, many felt that the cases of the artists were not comparable because Kelly’s abuse of women and girls and boys was over a period of time rather than under drugs.

He defended Kelly, who is looking at decades of time in jail and possibly spending the rest of his life behind bars.

“Twitter is cryptic where was people when every other song was revealing evidence of what was ok to program to black kids over radio?” Chuck D was used as an example when followers called him out. “All you gotta do is read the titles the past 25 years of black songs and you get clues. His labels & radio knew what they was feeding.”

He continued, “Mixing grown folk lifestyle with black youth was so endorsed financed perpetuated as so urban cool by radio. Black audiences were abused while 25yrs poppin champagne in the sandbox. The boundaries were sloppy w head nods. That dude & others gave clues that the gatekeepers ignored,” he said.

Despite his legal troubles and reputation as a sexual predator who used people in his management and label to recruit underage girls for his sexual activities, the singer is still noted as one of the greatest of all times and as the “King of R&B.”

Kelly has an impressive sales record with 75 million records sold and is a three-time Grammy-winner who has written for the likes of Michael Jackson, JAY-Z, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., and several others. His opportunities flourished despite the allegations of preying on black women over the decades.

Chuck D, however, questioned the involvement of other parties that enabled R.Kelly’s conduct.

“I’m stunned how this took this long and how the business machines around him are unidentifiable, and they also perpetuated the fanaticism of what he was,” Chuck D continued. “And masses hung on as the radio & BET played on. With support non stop. Allowing it to grow bigger.”

Its not a sympathetic question at all . Not the least.

He added, “answer is simple when you answer how long . If it’s 100 years then it’s the answer. If it’s execution or castration that’s [an] answer. I have deeper beef to all of the industry that fed this ‘aura’ to the 12-19 audiences targeted for 25 yrs as simply Urban but it’s another story,” he said.

Despite his position, the rapper faced criticism from his followers for his stance.

Chuck D has since coughed up an apology for his statement, saying, “JUST TO BE CLEAR, I’m not the R. Kelly fan here,” he wrote. “75 million sold somewhere & I ain’t got 1 of his songs. And his actions were criminal apologies if the wings of perception loomed beyond than the words on this slaveAPP. My clarity launch on my own Oct. 1.”

21 Savage Discuss 6ix9ine At His Concert & Meek Mill Beef With DJ Akademiks

21 Savage discusses 6ix9ine popping up at his concert earlier this year.

DJ Akademik‘s podcast, Off The Record, is producing some unique insight into hip hop world. The latest rapper to appear, 21 Savage, highlighted some hot topics while being interviewed on the show, like 6ix9ine‘s appearance at his concert.

He also addressed a number of issues like his loyalty to Drake, why he declined a feature on Kanye West‘s DONDA album, and his hometown thinking that Future is a better artist than Drake. Those were just a few issues that he chose to address during the very entertaining episode.

Repping his Atlanta home, 21 Savage called for a unique Verzuz battle that would feature Atlanta’s best talent against every other city in the world. He described Atlanta as an “untouchable” music city, and in truth, his suggestion would make for some magical entertainment.

21 Savage also addressed Akademik’s beef with Meek Mill and used his own encounter to explain his take on the matter. He said he had no idea that 6ix9ine was spotted at one of his club performances in Miami a few months ago. He added that if he and his manager knew about it they probably would have just laughed it off and walked away.

In August, the two had a heated confrontation while being interviewed by Wack 100 on Clubhouse. At one point, Savage said, “Not really ’cause of the industry that we in, I say, like, I wouldn’t really say that. But I say I ain’t finna agree with what no na say about no other na like how you said that you agree with him that I was s’posed to run up on him in the club. First of all, on my kids, I did not see that n***a in the club.”

It looks like DJ Akademiks’ new podcast will be revealing a lot more about the industry, including the various feuds in existence at this time. Akademiks must feel comforted, considering last week Rich The Kid walked out during an interview.

NBA YoungBoy & Drake Goes Head-To-Head To Top Billboard 200 Chart

NBA YoungBoy is going head to head with Drake for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 next week.

Ever since the release of Drake‘s highly anticipated sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy in early September, the rapper has dominated US Billboard charts. Remaining steadfast in the coveted top spot on the Billboard 200, CLB is about to have its toughest competition week, yet the next time, the chart is updated. YoungBoy Never Broke Again released his album Sincerely, Kentrell, and it’s in the running to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Drake’s Certified Lover Boy previously dethroned Kanye West’s No. 1 album Donda in its second week on the chart and has maintained its debut spot since. According to data sources, CLB is projected to sell 132K copies in its upcoming fourth week. Meanwhile, NBA YoungBoy‘s Sincerely, Kentrell is on track to move 131K units in its opening week.

The minuscule disparity in units sold makes the No. 1 slot in the impending frame either rapper’s throne for the taking. Sincerely, Kentrell was released on September 24, devoid of any features, which is a surprising move for any artist considering the current landscape of the music industry. If anything, it does make the rapper’s feat that more impressive, considering he is competing without the help of collaborators.

Contrastingly, Drake’s Certified Lover Boy features a host of guest stars, including Giveon, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Future, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Lil Durk, and more. All 21 tracks from the album debuted in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, nine of which were top 10 hits. Drake became only the second male artist in history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard 100 chart simultaneously.

NBA YoungBoy has had an excellent track record himself when it comes to album premieres on the Billboard chart. The Baton Rouge rapper had three No. 1 albums in less than a year between 2019 and 2020. Known as the “King of YouTube,” YoungBoy has a dedicated legion of fans that have been instrumental in his success thanks to their allegiance.

With both Drake and NBA YoungBoy having a rich history of No. 1 albums in their discography, it’s fitting that they are contenders for the next No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Who do you think will come out on top?

Boosie Badazz Says His Movie Made $1 Million In 24 Hours Despite Bootleggers

Boosie Badazz says he made $1 million in 24 hours of releasing his movie despite being plagued by bootleggers.

Continuing his tumultuous relationship with social media, rapper Boosie Badazz recently let followers know that his profile was removed from Instagram once again. This time he claims because he asked Drake to promote his new documentary, My Struggle. Despite this setback, Boosie also announced that the film has already made him a million dollars.

Speaking with VladTV, the controversial artist explained that he began working on the project while behind bars and later admitted that he rounded up on his original estimate, clarifying that the movie made about $940k on its first day. This number is not bad at all, considering Boosie quoted the cost of writing, filming, and producing the movie at less than $250k.

Boosie Badazz goes on to explain that he called in a few favors from friends and associates in Baton Rouge and was able to film at several locations for free. He added that he chose not to release the production through any major company so that he could maintain ownership and land more money in his pocket from the project.

The Baton Rouge rapper doesn’t plan on stopping there. He announced that fans should expect a comedy film from him this coming Christmas and that he is working on creating his own streaming platform modeled after Netflix.

The trailer for My Struggle features some big names in hip hop, including YFN Lucci, Mo3, and Quando Rondo. In his Vlad interview, Boosie argued that he shouldn’t have to pay a production company or a streaming service to distribute his work because he has a loyal fanbase, and he has a point.

Lil Boosie has been known to say and do some outlandish things without losing much support and even manages to gain followers who show up to see the drama ensue. Despite his inability to keep an active social media account, Boosie continues to maintain his relevance by consistently grinding and creating content that people want to see.

Drake Ignores Diddy And Gifted Future A 1 Of 1 Richard Mille Watch

Drake pretty much ignored Diddy’s warning about Richard Mille watches and gifted his pal and frequent collaborator, Future, a super rare timepiece.

Drake seems to be becoming quite the Lover Boy after the successes of his recently released album, Certified Lover Boy. The album is currently still topping the Billboard 200 chart and showing no signs of slowing down.

In lieu of his current successes, Drake recently gifted Future a well-coveted Richard Mille watch. The artiste then took to Instagram to flaunt his new jewelry on September 27th, with the caption, “Appreciate it @champagnepapi Demon time 1 of 1 joint.”

Future has been a frequent collaborator in many of Drake’s musical projects, and Certified Lover Boy is no exception with his addition on ‘N 2 Deep’ and ‘Way 2 Sexy’. Fans are not surprised that Drake has given the rapper such an expensive gift, especially after he collaborated with Future on the song, ‘Way 2 Sexy,’ placed #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, but it does raise a few issues.

Diddy took to Instagram a few weeks ago to warn about the cost of Richard Mille watches, which normally run from $200k to $3 million. He spoke out against purchasing Richard Millie timepieces, instead advising that their money should be saved and used to purchase real estate. The hip-hop mogul also called the watches ugly.

“It’s not hot. I have like two or three. I never pull ’em out… they ugly. I don’t even wanna hate. I don’t even know Richard Mille. But, f**k, I’m on some Black shit. Black man, save your money and go buy a house.” argued Diddy in his video.

After Future’s proud video, the fact that this warning was not heeded may come as a slap to Diddy and his followers, but many of his fellow musicians and wealthy celebrities are siding with Richard Mille on this one. It even appears that Drake has followed Jay-Z’s lead in reaffirming their position with the brand and boldly displaying their watches. On a day out in New York City, Jay Z wore his watch soon after Diddy’s rant had been posted.

Many celebrities still proudly tote the brand in their daily fashion, and despite the well-meaning message from the rapper, it seems that this trend is here to stay.

Moneybagg Yo & Ari Fletcher Clapped Bach At ‘The Real’ Hosts Criticizing Her Land Gift

Moneybagg Yo and Ari Fletcher have both clapped back at The Real‘s talk show host Garcelle Beauvais for speaking on his 28.8 acres of land that was recently gifted to him for his birthday from his girlfriend, Ari Fletcher.

The land gift to Moneybagg Yo was recently discussed on daytime talk show The Real, where the hosts were not in agreement that she should have gifted a man such a gift while being unmarried.

On Tuesday, the discussions centered on whether there should be limits placed on gifts when you’re not married.

“Last season Loni and I were talking about don’t act married when you’re not married…this is acting married! That’s a huge gift to someone you’re [not even married to]. If a man gave me 28 acres I’d feel obligated to stay with them if it didn’t work out,” Beauvais said to her co-hosts.

Beauvais, however, couldn’t give a straight answer when asked if she would have accepted the land gift if it had been given to her.

Both Fletcher and Moneybagg Yo reacted to Beauvais as they called out the host for speaking on the gift which Fletcher got MoneyBagg Yo for his 30th birthday recently. Fletcher had shared snaps of her presenting the gift complete with the deed to Moneybagg as she noted, “what do you give a person that has everything?”. The land is located in a residential area in Memphis, Tennessee, and according to Fletcher its towards his goals to build generational wealth.

However, the couple was quick to respond to Beauvais, who is well-known for playing Francesca “Fancy” Monroe on The Jamie Foxx Show.

“Y’all don’t know the half of what he does for me mentally or financially,” Ari said in a statement online.

“I’ve never felt so safe, loved, spoiled and happy with a person,” said Ari about her rapper boyfriend. “He loves me and my son so much. I’m sorry that you haven’t experienced a love like this. Focus on getting your own land and your husband. Y’all mad at Jewlery and cars but generational wealth is taking it too far… people will always have something to say no matter what,” she said.

Bagg also called out Beauvais for being a “hater”.

“Love is Love Mind Ya Business.” He also laughed, tweeting, “Not Fancy hating on my gift.”

Rick Ross Revealed His Monthly Income & Agrees To Pay $11K Child Support

Rick Ross revealed how much he made per month as he reached a child support settlement with the mother of three of his children.

The rapper’s child support case concluded with him agreeing to pay his ex-girlfriend Briana Singleton, also called Briana Camille, $11,000 per month in child support for their three children. The ex-couple share three children together, Berkley, 4, Billion, 3, and Bless, who just turned a year old. Ross also has two additional children from a relationship before Rick Ross.

According to TMZ, which reported on the case, the agreement was signed off with the judge satisfied with Rick Ross’ commitment to pay monthly child support payments. The two previously made headlines last year when Singleton insisted that Ross produce a negative Covid-19 test before he can see her kids.

The Maybach Music Group Founder will also have to pay health insurance for his children as well as helping with extracurricular activities expenses if the amount goes over $7,560, and will also need to pay additional annual payments of up to $3,000 per child plus the attorney’s fees for Singleton which amounts to $25,000.

How much Rick Ross earns per month?

The rapper’s monthly income was also revealed in the docs, showing that he earns $585,000 a month from his various business ventures while his baby mother brings in $142 a month.

Ross’ income comes from his music career and royalties as well as income from MMG, and his dozen franchise Wingstop restaurants as well as income he earned recently from a new book, The Perfect Day to Boss Up, which is a New York Times’ weekly bestseller.

On the other hand, Singleton is the owner of sportswear brand Fit by B.Camille and is also a reality star on the “Getting Back to Bri’ series aired on Fox Soul, where the show is centered on her life being a mom and being the girlfriend of a celebrity.

Meanwhile, the couple’s paternity suit was filed in May 2020 by Singleton in Fayette County, Georgia, requesting a hearing for Ross to take a COVID-19 test if he wanted to visit his kids.

Singleton’s documents said that the rapper hasn’t seen his children for six months; after he did reach out, she was concerned about his marijuana use and not quarantining during the pandemic.

Singleton, who has spoken about the relationship drama with Ross, said in her documents that Ross wasn’t too cooperative in asserting paternity through DNA test, but despite the issues they had, he was financially supportive, which included him purchasing a Mercedes SUV for her use and the children’s, and also putting money into her bank account to take care of the children.

At that time, Singleton was pregnant with their last child, who was born in August 2020.

On the other hand, Rick Ross, for the most part, has spoken about taking his job as a father seriously and talking to his children about his own mistakes in life.

“I have those conversations and we’ve been having those,” he said in a January 2020 interview with Steve Harvey. “You know, they’ve always been under my wing and always find a way to find something positive, regardless of the darkest of my situations. When they woke up and heard about gunshots open on my car before, whatever it was, I had that conversation with them just so they’ll feel better and understand me. We have a real great communication so I’m always honest with them.”

Rihanna Fan Out After Meeting Nigerian Singer Tems For The First Time

Rihanna’s event promoting her latest Savage x Fenty collection was an evening to remember for more than one reason.

The “Diamonds” singer met Nigerian up and coming star, Tems, for the first time at the event, which was held last night (September 22), and they kicked off what could possibly flourish into a beautiful friendship.

An excited Rihanna could be heard screaming “Oh my God” in a viral video on social media after meeting and intimately embracing Tems. In no time, the fashion icon was engaged in conversation with an equally excited Tems, almost as if they were old friends.

The video displaying the instant connection between the two artistes was shared by Tems’ manager, and it was captioned, “A moment to remember: @temsbaby x @badgalriri link up.”

The 26- year old Lagos native is currently on tour in the United States. After rising to fame in 2019 upon the release of her hit single “Try Me,” the singer continued to make strides in the industry. She earned her first entrance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this year through her feature on Wizkid‘s “Essence” and landed another feature on Drake’s recently released, highly successful album, “Certified Lover Boy.”

Tems | cred: @temsbaby IG

In addition, the “Damages” singer released her EP, “If Orange Was A Place,” last week, which has received a wave of positive feedback and is on its way to becoming a hit.

Tems has, so far, made a mark on the music industry with her incredible talent, so much so that one would hardly question why Rihanna would be excited to meet her.

Tems is expected to be in the United States until October, when her tour ends, and fans are hoping that the two stars will keep the link alive, especially since Rihanna has disclosed that she is working and experimenting on new music.

While a Tems and Rihanna collaboration would definitely be a tremendous development in music, the Barbadian singer has been busy in her fashion world. Her most recent Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 3 will be available on Prime Video on Friday, September 24.

N.O.R.E Confirms Drake’s ‘Drink Champs’ Appearance This Week, What You Need To Know

Drake’s Drink Champs appearance is finally happening and we will hear more about his feud with the late DMX.

Drake‘s recent success has cemented his place in hip-hop history. His latest album, Certified Lover Boy, is currently enjoying its third week at the top of the charts and the OVO Boss is certainly enjoying being at the top of the game.

Fans will be delighted to get an even more in-depth insight into the artist’s mind as he will be sitting down later this week with N.O.R.E on Drink Champs. N.O.R.E shared the news on Instagram in a most candid way as he made a drunken effort to recite the lyrics to “Girls Want Girls.” He also revealed that the episode should be released tomorrow, September 27. “C’mon Drake, tomorrow — Monday, Drake is on Drink Champs,” he declared.

Drake’s dominance has been clearly evidenced with CLB. He’s already broken multiple Billboard records, and his success continues going from strength to strength. He definitely seems to have the Midas touch as the lead single from CLB “Way 2 Sexy” ft. Future and Young Thug also debuted at the top of the charts a week after the album’s release.

Drake to address DMX beef

The “Pipe Down” rapper has been enjoying the moment, as well as he’s been spotted with the real Wolf Of Wall Street and eating dinner with DJ Khaled and Fat Joe. Of the many topics that fans anticipate will be tackled on the show is Drake and DMX’s short-lived feud.

That’s because shortly after DMX’s passing, N.O.R.E. shared a photo of himself and Drake, explaining that he was instrumental in the pair working out their differences. That truce led to Drake being able to sample “What These B*tches Want” for the Views track “U Wit Me?”

What issues do you hope will get addressed during the interview?

Tony Matterhorn Explains Why He Thinks Shenseea Don’t Have Core Dancehall Fans Support

Tony Matterhorn thinks Shenseea doesn’t have the support of hardcore dancehall fans and he knows why.

Shenseea has proven time and time again that she has what it takes to become a major influence in dancehall. With her international career burgeoning now, some in the industry have become critical of her success. At least one veteran, known for courting controversy within recent times, Tony Matterhorn, believes she is poised for success but will have to work much harder as her career continues to grow.

According to the veteran dancehall selector, it has less to do with her talent and more about how she broke into the genre. He made the comment while being interviewed by IG comedian Jai Frais and his co-host, Chevi, on their YouTube podcast, Let’s Be Honest, earlier in September.

While he did admit he respected her work ethic and positive attitude, Tony Matterhorn said it still comes back down to how she got her start and that she had a lot of money being pumped into her image. He added that she would have to conquer these types of thoughts from fans before she can truly say that she is a major player in the dancehall arena.

The “Dutty Wine” singer described her beginnings as “test-tube” success.

“Shen Shen is such a vibrant girl dat it nah go matter to her but hear wah Shenseea ago always face. They not gonna give Shenseea the ratings weh she deserve as a hardworking person because a how she buss,” he said.

He added: “She’s a test-tube baby. She is very talented and she bad, but to the typical Jamaican person…the mere fact that Shen Shen buss because a money, it override the talent part.”

It’s because of this why she will always have to work harder than her peers in the industry, Matterhorn continued.

“Fi a period of years she a fi go just go through dat,” he continued. “She a fi wait till she put in more work which she is doing. The longer she do dat, after a while it’s going to override the fact that you were just a likkle girl dat dem used money to boost up,” he said.

Even as the debate rages on, it doesn’t really seem to matter to Shenseea, who has said on multiple occasions that she’s not in it for accolades but because of her genuine love of dancehall.

6ix9ine’s Girlfriend Jade Claims Cardi B Is Lying About Alleged NYC Club Attack

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend Jade is outraged after Cardi B allegedly retweets allusions calling her a liar.

You may recall that back in 2019, Cardi B was indicted for assault following some strip club workers accusing her of allegedly sending goons to attack them the previous year. The allegations followed one of the dancers being accused of sleeping with the rapper’s husband, Offset. While the case is still ongoing, there seem to have been some developments that have piqued the interest of fans on social media. The woman and alleged victim is Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend Jade, who is now calling out Cardi for seemingly addressing the case online in a series of retweets. Ironically, this followed Jade herself answering a question about the very case on social media.

During a recent Instagram Live with DJ Akademiks, Tekashi 6ix9ine and his girlfriend Jade were comfortably snuggled up in bed when they were cunningly questioned about the case.

Akademiks asked if Jade was the girl who was beefing with Cardi B, to which she responded, “Unfortunately.” The social media personality then claimed to have heard that “Cardi’s people did a number on” Jade, but she and 6ix9ine chuckled and unanimously disagreed, stating, “Nah. Never that.”

A post shared by JADE ?? (@__ohsoyoujade)

After the live session started making the rounds, online Cardi fired off a series of retweets from fans rehashing what had essentially just happened. “It’s really just laughable how y’all are STILL trying to spread that lie of ‘cardi sending men to beat up women’ when the woman Cardi allegedly ‘harrassed’ admitted It was a lie. lol,” one fan tweeted, and Cardi reposted. Another fan shared a screenshot of what it means to “do a number on someone” and quoted Jade’s denial, which Cardi also retweeted.

Taking to her Instagram Story to respond, Jade sent a strong message to Cardi, the apparent object of her ire. “A LIE??” Jade wrote with the crying, laughing, and thinking emojis. “DONT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH !” she continued. “Everybody knows the truth including your husband . LET’S NOT TAKE IT THERE. DONT RETWEET ANYTHING ABOUT ME OR A CASE THATS FAR FROM OVER !”

After she was accused of sending people to a strip club to attack Jade and her sister, Cardi B was later charged with felony assault and appeared in a New York Court in 2019. The rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty’s Accuser Details Harassment & Sexual Assault

The rape victim in the 1995 Kenneth Petty rape case has broken her silence as she speaks about the ordeal publicly for the first time.

In an interview on The Real daytime talk show, the woman Jennifer Hough sat down for the first time to speak about the incident to a large audience and made some damning allegations against Petty and his now wife, Nicki Minaj.

Hough is presently suing the pair for harassment as she claims that Minaj and her husband approached her to change her story so that he can get off on his current charges for failing to register as a sex offender in California.

Kenneth Petty moved from New York to California in 2019 to be with his wife, who resides in Calabasas, but he did not register and was only picked up on the radar after he was stopped for a routine traffic stop that later led to the charges being filed against him. He pleaded guilty to the charges and is now facing up to 10 years imprisonment for failing to register.

However, the efforts by Minaj and Petty are stirring up a pile of legal troubles for the pair as Hough alleges harassment and intimidation from Minaj and her family to herself and even her own family.

According to her, Nicki Minaj reached out to her once in 2020, asking for her help.

“…In march 2020, she called me and said that she got word that I was willing to help them out in a situation, I didn’t understand what she was referring to. She offered to fly me and my family to LA…I turned it down. And I told her woman to woman this really happened. I hadn’t spoken to her since,” Hough says.

Hough claims that Minaj and Petty were harassing her by sending people constantly to negotiate what her cost would be to settle the story.

Nicki Minaj & Kenneth Petty | cred @nickiminaj IG

When asked in what way she was being harassed, she said, “with them sending people to negotiate numbers as far as money is concerned with family members and Nicki is the one who personally reached out to me you know regards to helping her, helping them in this situation.”

Hough also alleged that she was threatened that the Pettys would put a hit on her for refusing to take $20,000.

“I kept saying no to every offer, to every suggestion. The last incident was when one of their associates put 20,000 on my lap and I still kept saying no. the last message I received was that I should have taken the money because now they were going to put that money on my head because I kept saying no to every offer.”

Hough says that she is afraid, but she is standing up for herself.

“I’m tired of being afraid. I feel like that the action that were taken in regards to this situation has put me in a different type of fear at my age now and it was wrong and I don’t want to be afraid anymore, and the only way to not be afraid is to speak up.”

In the interview, Hough says that she first met Kenneth on September 16, 1994, while going to school. She recalled the day that Petty raped her, which has left her traumatized.

“I was on my way to school, high school. I seen him at a bus stop and I didn’t think anything of it other than there goes Kenny across the street,” she said. “He asked me where I was going and I said I was going to school. I asked him where he was going. He said he was going to school, too.”

Petty, who was 16 at the time, had denied the first-degree rape charges but pleaded guilty to a lesser count- attempted rape and was sentenced to almost five years in jail. Hough says that Petty is far from innocent.

“He pushes me up the steps. Now I’m crying because now I’m inside,” Hough said, adding that she was pleading with him to tell her what he wanted. “He pushed me down on the bed. We wrestled for my clothes because all I could was hold my pants as tight as I can.”

She became emotional as she recounted the incident.

“I just held on to my pants and he held my arms down and I squeezed the sides of my stomach so hard,” she said, noting that she wished she had fought harder because she became tired, which is when Petty committed the act.

“After he got off the top of me, he stood in the mirror and he beat his chest,” she said. “And he said ‘I’m the man. I’m the man.’”

Hough said she tried to get away from Kenneth Petty, and after she reached her school, she reported the incident to an adult who called the police. Petty was arrested at the school.

“Then they took me to the hospital,” she said.

Hough became emotional as she said that she still lives with the trauma of what happened and that she often blamed herself for what happened. She noted that the rape affected her terribly as she moved away from her home and family. She said it has caused her to live in fear.

“I had to leave my family, I had to leave my home, I had to go away…hiding within myself, living and surviving through insecurities, using them to protect myself, thinking if I don’t look a certain way I won’t attract a certain attention.”

Both Kenneth Petty and Nicki Minaj have been silent on the threats. Still, social media users have surmised that Minaj’s recent rants on social media about the vaccine were all a distraction from the bad publicity coming from Hough’s lawsuit being filed last week.

Hough, who has previously said that Minaj offered her up to $500,000 to recant her story in an effort to get the current case dropped, told The Real hosts that she wants her lawsuit to send a message that the Pettys were wrong.

“They were wrong, you can’t do this to people. You shouldn’t do this to people. He did something a long time ago and he had consequences he was supposed to stick with, what he did to my family wasn’t ok. It wasn’t right, and it doesn’t matter how much money you have, what your status is, you cant intimidate people to make things go better for you and that’s what they did. I want my daughters to do as they grow as they come into contact with friends, family, strangers, they will know they have a voice, use it.”

Minaj and Petty got married in 2019 and now have a young baby boy.

Meanwhile, many online questioned the credibility of Hough, who some alleged changed her story as she previously spoke to blogger Tasha K and said she never directly spoke to either Kenneth or Nicki.

On Wednesday, Nicki Minaj has been trending as her large fan base defended her.

Others, however, shared that they believed the victim.

One person shared a clip of Nicki defending Petty as she insinuated that Hough was a white woman who cried foul on Petty. Hough is actually a black woman.

“All because he didn’t have $7,000 to get hisself bailed out cause when you in the hood you don’t have that kind of money, neither does your family. And when the alleged accuser wrote a letter to the judge asking him to recant the statements, she was told she was go to jail for 90 days if she recanted the statement. But white is right,” Minaj declared.

Nicki Minaj also insinuated that Petty was just a victim of a false accusation by a white woman, which led to some of her fans having sympathy and believing Petty’s version of what happened as false accusations of that nature were not too uncommon.

Minaj has been quiet and has not responded to the allegations.

The Game Speak Out After New Accusations He’s Scamming Artists

The Game is not amused by rumors circulating that he’s a scammer. The rumors first started earlier this year when he was accused of scamming thousands of dollars from several artists. An accusation he heavily denied.

Some of the rappers and artists claim that The Game was among a clique of artists who have been charging them a fee to promote their music but not following through on their word. Those first set of allegations started in March when an Instagram account with the name, the foo community, published a post leveling the accusations.

“He doesn’t upload on his verified SoundCloud account, he uploads on a separate account with only 266 followers,” the post stated. “In addition, he doesn’t market it on Instagram or Facebook, nor makes an appearance on any on the songs,” it further alleged.

At that time, he responded by saying that he was only trying to uplift artists with “dope opportunities.”

The Game is once again been called upon to defend himself as recently a woman claimed that he charged her $1,000 to have her song included on one of his mixtapes. She also claimed that he was promoting the tape at the time and that she confronted him when he didn’t come through. According to her, he laughed in her face.

She further alleges that the mixtape was not posted to Game’s official page but to an alternate SoundCloud account with barely any followers, which sounds eerily similar to the earlier accusations.

“The Hate It or Love It” rapper has vehemently denied any insinuation that he is scamming young and unknown artists. On a Neighborhood Talk’s post, he said, “Please stop wit the fake news.”

He added, “I ain’t never scammed nobody in my life out of nothing !!!! If you want sumn to post, holla at me n I’ll do sumn to help y’all weird ass blog out.”

Dancehall it girl Shenseea has been garnering much attention lately with her numerous collaborations, involvement in huge projects, and her debut album coming soon. The “Run Run” singer continues to make a name for herself internationally as she takes on every new opportunity with her usual boldness and dancehall flair.

One of her recent endeavors was a feature on the soundtrack for a very popular EA Sports video game, Madden 22. Shenseea lent her voice to the song “How I’m Feeling” for the latest version of the popular American football game, Madden NFL 22. The franchise sent the dancehall star her own custom-made Xbox Series X video game console designed with her animated likeness as a thank you gift.

Shenseea took to Instagram to share a video of the thoughtful gift with her fans. “How fire is this? I got an Xbox from Madden. Thank you guys so much, showing me appreciation for being on the soundtrack,” she said. The deejay then shared a preview of her song, featuring Canadian rapper Belly to her Instagram Story.

“Dem gal ya red eye, neva mek right / Me deh ya suh fi life, dem a get by / Neva bow fi di fame, head’s high / Deh back me so all dem a see a taillight / Been a real ass b***h from da ghetto / I ain’t never goin switch, that’s facts tho / Can’t get me out like stain cah mi grow tough and mi know pain,” Shenseea deejays in a rap style on the track.

The star-studded lineup also includes J. Cole, Drake, Future, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Moneybagg Yo, Swae Lee, Rod Wave, Burna Boy, Protoje, Koffee, and much more.

Chloe Bailey Reacts To Reports She’s Dating Future

Chlo?e Bailey is denying rumors that she’s dating Future amidst her jaw-dropping debut solo performance.

The Grown-ish actress and singer who has been one half of the sister-singing duo Chlo?e x Halle for years, recently released her freshman solo track “Have Mercy,” the lead single off her upcoming debut solo album. Last Sunday, Chlo?e Bailey performed the song for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards where she not only rocked the crowd but left viewers speechless. After her successful solo debut, the singer took to Instagram Live to have a chat with fans and she had a list of things to address.

While speaking fondly of her new blonde look, Chlo?e interrupted herself to respond to a comment about a rumor that started recently claiming she and Future are dating and it’s “serious.” The “Have Mercy” singer was rather pleasant in her denial telling fans that she actually likes Future’s music but she is completely oblivious to where the rumor came from. “He’s a wonderful fella, love his music, I’ve never spoken to him a day in my life,” Chlo?e said. So not only are they not dating but they’ve never actually met.

Elsewhere during the live session, Chlo?e also addressed another peculiar accusation floating around about her, this time alleging that she has joined the illuminati. The singer was still as graceful as one could be while quelling such an upsetting rumor. “One moment you all say that I talk about God too much and the next you say I’m selling my soul. Which is it, my loves?” she questioned sarcastically. “I love God so much and I love music, and I just have a lot of passion. That’s it.”

The singer laughed off the allegation seemingly flattered that fans think her solo single is doing well enough to inspire this outlandish theory to come about before finally flat out denying it. “I didn’t sell my soul, no,” she added as she continued giggling.

Chlo?e Bailey was one of the hot topics on people’s tongues after the VMAs on Sunday and after such a show-stopping inaugural performance to launch her solo career, she may very well be the one to talk about for a long time. The singer is completing her debut album which she told Billboard late last month that she is narrowing down from about 50 songs. Chlo?e season is almost here.

Jeannie Mai Jenkins Announces Pregnancy With First Child With Jeezy

Jeannie Mai Jenkins and her rapper husband, Jeezy, are expecting their first child after having a miscarriage.

Jeezy and I have been kind of saving this and hiding this for five months,” Jeannie Mai says while on an episode of The Real where she revealed the news on Monday morning.

Jeannie Mai Jenkins, who is 42, shared that she previously never wanted children. She and her husband Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, got married in late March of this year. Jeezy is already a father to two other children.

“I can definitely say that our Real fam is growing, and it’s been really hard to keep all of these secrets for you guys because we’ve had so much to reveal here at the show, including the fact that I am pregnant!” the co-host said during the broadcast.

She added, “Jeezy and I have been kind of saving this and hiding this for five months. So we’re relieved to finally share the news.”

She also shared that the pregnancy comes after a miscarriage as she had found out she was pregnant in February- just a month before her wedding to Jeezy, but then they lost the baby through a miscarriage. She said that’s why she decided that she felt the desire to be a mother for the first time.

“I wondered if I was being punished. I wondered if I’d jinxed myself or cursed myself. My entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop never,” she shared, adding, “Falling in love with Jeezy made me see life differently for myself. Our love is honest, pure and safe … something I hadn’t felt as a child.”

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy met when he was on her talk show The Real as a guest but only asked her out years later.

The celebrity couple is known for their respective careers but also their activism in their community against racism.

Rihanna Show Fans Love Gave Away Cash While On Date With A$AP Rocky In Harlem

Rihanna and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, were spotted on a late-night date on Friday (September 17) at about 3 AM. The couple was bombarded by fans on their way inside El Puerto Seafood and Fish Market in Harlem, and Rihanna is being hailed “a real one” for showing her fans love despite trying to get something to eat.

The Fenty Beauty billionaire showed her fans some love, signing autographs, hugging, and even giving one man a $20 bill before entering the eatery with a chilled A$AP Rocky by her side.

The couple seemed quite happy wearing not only huge smiles but matching leather pants. Rihanna, a fashion mogul, was rocking a white tank top underneath a black leather jacket with a fuzzy black bucket hat topping her braids.

Accessorizing the cool look was a pair of black sunglasses, a long gold medallion, and a pearl necklace. Meanwhile, her 32-year-old rapper boyfriend complimented her with a black hooded sweatshirt with reflectors on the elbows. While the dinner inside remains a private affair, the couple seemed to have enjoyed their time together, exiting the restaurant in a good mood.

On their way to their black SUV, the couple posed for pictures with excited fans. Videos of the encounter emerged on social media on Saturday and social media users did not hold back on commending the artistes for showing love to fans.

“They give people LIFE when they show love like that,” one person said, while another applauded, “I like stuff like this they don’t let the fame get to them and actually appreciate the fans unlike most artists and famous people.”

Dating rumors surrounding Rihanna and A$AP Rocky started back in January 2020, shortly after Rihanna and her former boyfriend Hassan Jameel broke up.

While the two artistes were friends for some time and even appeared on the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards together as just that, their relationship was confirmed in November, when they had a public date night with friends at West Village spot Beatrice Inn.

Since then, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been spotted on numerous dates and outings, and during the holidays last year, A$AP joined the “Umbrella” singer in her native home in Barbados.

Earlier this year, A$AP told GQ that he believes Rihanna is “the love of my life” and declared her as “the one.”

And just this week, the couple made their debut appearance on the red carpet of the 2021 Met Gala.

Lil Baby Gets Refund And Four Rings For Fake $400K Patek Philippe Watch

Lil Baby got back his $400K after learning that the Patek Philippe watch he was flaunting on Instagram was a fake.

While the Atlanta rapper was rightfully angry at the loss, he’s already come up with a way to ensure that it never happens again. His suggestion, which he posted on his stories, is simple, he should be added to the official Patek Philippe list.

Lil Baby, known for his aggressive lyrics, added that aftermarket jewelers like Rafaello And Co, who sold him the fake timepiece, are threatening to make him do something he would later regret. Maybe his colleague, Drake, who is on that list, can help him out even though Drizzy is busy these days dominating the airwaves with his massively successful new album, Certified Lover Boy.

Lil Baby shared on IG last night that he got a full refund and four giant diamond-studded rings as compensation from the jeweler for his troubles.

“Now @rafaelloandco y’all Kno better then to sell ME of all people a FAKE Or anything that could be called a FAKE ! I stand on my name the same way y’all should ! Ain’t no such thing as a mistake when that money involved! Don’t Fuccin Play Wit me Cause when I’m on that I’m on that,” Baby wrote.

A post shared by The kiDD (@lilbaby)

Rafaello And Co has since posted a statement saying, “We do stand on our name just like he does that’s why today he got those four rings for free and his money back because we didn’t do our homework on the watch and we take Full responsibility for that. But it didn’t happen intentionally and he knows that for a fact.”

The irony is that it was just a few days ago that Lil Durk warned people of scam-happy jewelers. According to Durk, these unscrupulous jewelers have been passing off fake products to their unsuspecting clients. “Stop buying all this jewelry without knowing what you doing,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. He added: “Alot of the sh*t fake and some is over priced get 1 jeweler and stick to em I’m telling you y’all ass gone be pissed when the truth come out.”

It was not too long after that warning that Lil Baby was caught showing off his supposed limited-edition Patek Philippe watch, telling his fans that it’s “not regular.”

Some sharp fans and other pages dedicated to busting fake watches revealed that the watch was indeed a fake. Some pages even had side-by-side comparison images showing the differences between Lil Baby’s fake watch and the authentic Patek model.

One of the specialists pointed out that the font of the date is different on Baby’s watch and that the hands were the wrong shape and size. Added to that, they pointed out that the bezel was too thick and that the case had the wrong proportions. Lil Baby might be down $400, 000 but he’s learned a valuable lesson that he will not soon forget.

Bounty Killer Marks 25th Anniversary Of His Classic Album ‘My Xperience’

Bounty Killer is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his massively successful album My Xperience.

The dancehall legend shared his appreciation for the project he put out at that time and to say that he’s not going to let anything hold him back from making more great hits. “Quarter Century Ago Today Such An Experience It Was Is And Still,” Bounty Killer wrote on IG.

At the time of release in 1996, Bounty was already a mega-star in the dancehall genre, and the album was very well received. The album boasted hints of hip-hop, which helped its popularity to grow even more.

The album focused on the plight of the impoverished and disenfranchised on the island. In 1999, the book The Rough Guide: Reggae: 100 Essential CDs listed the album as one of the must-haves.

Alex Henderson of AllMusic gave the album a 4.5 stars rating. “Those who aren’t big dancehall fans may find the hip-hop-influenced CD hard to get into; those who are heavily into it will find a lot to admire on My Xperience, which contains major dancehall hits like “Living Dangerously” and “Virgin Island,” he said at the time.

Most notable of the hip-hop influences was the immensely popular Fugees, who appeared on the album in a track called “Hip-Hopera.” Check out the tracklist below, and be sure to let us know what your favorite song from the album was.

Spice Clears Up Misconceptions About Her ‘Graci Noir’ Clothing Brand

Spice makes it clear her that her clothing brand, Graci Noir, is for everyone.

On Thursday (September 16th), Spice took to Instagram to post a screenshot of an exchange between her and one of her supporters, which took place via the comment section on one of her previous posts. The fan seemed to be debating whether or not she should purchase clothes from Spice’s clothing line, Graci Noir, as she is caucasian and believed the line was strictly for black women.

The fan questioned, “Spice, your collection is for white people [too]? I want to buy it but my friends say [it’s] not for white people and I [can’t] wear it.”

She added a very discouraged, remorseful emoji displaying her sadness over the situation. She continued, “some people can [feel] not good when white people will wear Graci Noir collection,” adding quotations as she quoted her friends. “[Is] that true? For me, outfit is an outfit but maybe I don’t know something about your collection,” the fan concluded.

Spice sweetly responded to the fan clearing up any misconceptions about her dilemma of whether to buy the outfits from the clothing line or not. Spice frequently gushes over her fans and supporters and constantly expresses gratitude towards them, so fans were not surprised that she took the time to address the concerns.

Spice courtesy photo

“Wow, this is not true. My collection (@gracinoir) was made to be represented by all ethnic [groups],” Spice began, adding the emoji of a smiling face with hearts around it.

“In fact, even tho the word “Noir” means black, a Caucasian wearing it would only show support to the black community. Make sure you tag me in your picture so I can show our unity #TogetherWeareStronger #supportblackownedbusinesses. Love always,” the artiste ended her statement with three accompanying blue hearts and a black fist.

Spice had disclosed before that her passion for fashion was born when she had to continuously come up with creative ideas for her costumes, hair, and performances, and it was throughout this experience that she had the urge to venture into the world of fashion as an entrepreneur and designer.

The Queen of Dancehall’s eye-catching, over-the-top outfits would naturally make her stand out at any stage show or live performance that she had. Thus, fans were elated yet seemingly unsurprised when she launched her clothing line, “Graci Noir,” back in 2020 when the Black Lives Matter Movement was a prominent issue in the U.S, which is where she currently resides.

Spice also revealed that through this brand, she wanted to start something new that would also carry on her black roots. She wanted to represent her complexion in her line, which is why she went with “Noir”, which is French for black. “Graci” means thankful, and she is so thankful for the support that she has been getting from her fans and followers throughout the years.

In the caption section of the post, Spice took the time to share how much the exchange meant to her.

“I feel like posting this because she asked an important question about my brand. Even tho the word “Noir” signify my race, it doesn’t mean that it was only made to be worn by black people. (@gracinoir) can be worn by any ethnicity #supportblackownedbusinesses,” she expressed.

Many international fans were happy to hear this and thanked the fan for asking the question instead of going off of what her friends said. The comment section of the post beamed positivity as fans stood united, declaring the mantra, “divided they fall but united we stand!”

Boosie Badazz Bought His Mother A New Cadilac Escalade

Lil Boosie gifted his mom a brand new Cadillac truck.

The Baton Rouge rapper is known for going all out for his family, whether it’s his kids or mom. So it came as no surprise when Boosie Badazz splurged on a lavish 2021 cherry red Cadillac Escalade for his mother a week ago. The rapper shared the moment he handed his mom her new car keys in an Instagram post today (Sept 16). “LOVE YA MOMA @standingongodsword NEW LAC 2021 #7daysago #justposting lmao,” he wrote in the caption.

The rapper’s mother beamed with excitement as she saw the brand new SUV for the first time. “Hold my cigarette ’cause I don’t smoke in my truck,” she said as she handed it off to someone off-camera. Boosie and his mom then exchanged hugs and kisses moments before she hopped into her new Cadillac and started exploring. The rapper could also be heard responding to his mom’s question of whether she has a car note telling her, “No you ain’t got no f***ing car note,” causing laughter to erupt among everyone present.

Fans on social media, particularly on the Shade Room post that shared the video, weighed in on the lavish gift, pointing out how humble and funny the rapper’s mom was after her smoke comment. One hilariously outlined the disparity in size between Mama Boosie and the Cadillac truck, writing, “That car is huge and she’s so tiny.” Another commenter said, “Lol old black women love driving big ass trucks.” Over on Boosie’s original post, fans were inspired by the video telling the rapper, “This bout real as it get” and “That’s what the f**c I’m talking about!!”

Boosie Badazz may be known for his bluntness in the media and for being a straight shooter, but he also has a reputation for always taking care of his family and giving them lavish gifts. “Mom Nd The kids straight.. Dad gone have a good day,” a fan commented. Just last month, the rapper posted another video of himself and family celebrating his son Ray Ray’s birthday. Boosie handed the 13-year-old $5k in cash to commemorate the occasion, an iced-out chain, and a new Rolex. “Happy 13th @rayray_damodel LOVE U SON,” the rapper wrote.

It’s just another day in the life of Lil Boosie.

Nas, Pusha T & Others Invest $5M In Audius Streaming Platform Aim To Rival Spotify

Nas, Pusha T, and other music industry players are investing huge sums into a new streaming platform that is projected to be the next big thing.

The market is fully saturated with a variety of music streaming platforms to choose from, but there is still room for more. A number of artists, artist managers, and label executives have become major investors in the up-and-coming platform called Audius, which is set to rival Spotify. Nas and Pusha T are among a group of $5 million investors said to be announced later today. Audius is a streaming service that was founded in 2018 that is built on blockchain, which is the same technology that supports the increasingly popular NFTs.

While the service is currently free to use, executives expect to diversify the business model amid their investment campaign that includes a host of famous names. The likes of Katy Perry, Nas, The Chainsmokers, Pusha T, Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park, Jason Derulo, and more are ahead of the curve with the investment opportunity. Audius has a much more extensive investor list than this, however, as it has backing from Martin Bandier, former Sony/ATV Music Publishing CEO, Madonna, Frank Ocean, Calvin Harris’ manager Mark Gillespie, U2’s manager Guy Oseary and a lot more.

Audius has already received rave reviews for setting itself apart from other platforms for its revenue benefits. Similar to TIDAL, the platform allows stakeholders the opportunity to have ownership which is something Nas was excited to point out in a recent statement about the service. “I believe [blockchains] might be the most important technology to ever hit the music industry,” the rapper said in a statement. “Everyone who uploads to Audius can be an owner. You can’t say that about any other platform.”

Additionally, the blockchain technology that Audius is built on will allow artists to get paid much faster when their music is streamed, as in real-time. 90% of earnings from monetized streams will reportedly go to artists in real-time, while the 10% residue will go to the community that makes the streaming service work. Bandier, who is a veteran music executive, was very excited about this prospect when he spoke to Rolling Stone. “Blockchain, which I understand to be a transparent and immutable ledger of transactions, should benefit songwriters and other creators in a way beyond what the current system permits,” he said. “Songwriters need more avenues for revenue, and this model should also help expedite payments for their music as it streams across the world.”

The former head of Sony/ATV Music Publishing also explained that it’s “not simply a Spotify 2.0” in a way that suggests that it will give the popular platform a run for its money, literally. “Streaming is just one small, albeit meaningful, part of its business model,” he continued. “The blockchain is enabling entirely new revenue streams for artists and creators, like NFTs, social currency, and curation. Audius is not only using the blockchain to add potentially significant revenue streams for artists, but it also allows them to cooperatively own the platform itself.”

Essentially, everyone who signs up for the streaming service has a crypto wallet created for their account, which Browning says affords boundless opportunities. “That enables us to build some really cool crypto features the mainstream is talking about — NFTs, etc — without all the extremely complex process of downloading and setting up extra apps,” he says.

Audius, which currently boasts over 6 million subscribers and counting, also recently became the first music streaming platform to strike a deal with popular social media network TikTok. Co-founder and chief product officer Forrest Browning says the platform will likely keep its “free-to-use aspect” while “layering in paid offerings that perhaps let artists monetize their superfans in unique ways.” He adds that this year alone has proven that “even a small percentage of your audience paying you directly can have a meaningful impact on your revenue and help grow the pie for everyone.”

Meek Mill Drop NFT Artwork For New Album “Expensive Pain”

Meek Mill has a new album, Expensive Pain, on the way, but some fans not feeling the NFT artwork.

It’s been three years, but the wait for a new Meek Mill album may be coming to a close. The rapper announced earlier today, September 15, that he is ready to drop an album called Expensive Pain. He is hoping that the follow up to Championships will be available on October 1.

“My Album ‘Expensive Pain’ Releases 10/1 Pre-Save Now @ninachanel it’s giving me heavy NFT VIBES,” he posted on Twitter.

Many of his fellow rappers sent him support on Twitter in reaction to the news from the Philly rapper. Rappers like Pusha T, DJ Khaled, YG, Bobby Shmurda, and more expressed their excitement to hear what Meek has in store. He even got an endorsement from the 76ers owner Michael Rubin.

Even though he hasn’t dropped an album in a few years, he’s still been giving his fans a taste of his music. He’s dropped some singles like “Blue Notes II” featuring Lil Uzi Vert and “Sharing Locations,” which was a collab with Lil Durk and Lil Baby. Both tracks are currently in the Billboard Hot 100 currently.

Not much has been revealed about the album, but during a Q&A with fans regarding the album some time ago, Meek hinted at a possible JAY-Z feature and also revealed that there would be a U.K. rapper guest appearance. He also shared that Nick Papz, DougieOnTheBeat and Cardo would feature in the production of some of the tracks.

Most of his fans have reacted with enthusiasm at the announcement though some were taken aback by his choice of cover art, which is an image of an original painting by renowned artist Nina Chanel Abney.

The American artist, who is based in New York is an African American contemporary artist and painter who explores race, gender, pop culture, homophobia, and politics in her work. Some fans had a strong objection to her work being featured on the cover like this one who said, “I didn’t think that this year could have even worse album covers than clb and Donda and now here we are.”

However, not all agreed with the sentiment like this fan, “Watch what you say. @MeekMill’s #ExpensivePain cover art is actually one of the best in music this year. Black, queer, female ARTIST designed @ninachanel, abstract style, title and imagery aligns, NFT-worthy; just different.”

What are your thoughts on Meek’s choice of cover art?

Ja Rule Use Eminem To Respond To 50 Cent Saying He Destroyed Murder Inc.

Ja Rule and 50 Cent are going at it on social media and somehow Eminem got tossed in the middle of their beef.

It’s time to buckle in as it seems the two-decade-old beef between veterans Ja Rule and 50 Cent is in full swing once again. In the 90s, the two had an all-out war, with many fans agreeing that Fifty took the bragging rights in that one. Still, many are divided as to who has the better catalog between the two.

In the 2000s, they also had some clashes, some of which were of a physical nature. However, for the last few years, there hasn’t been any major animosity between the two. In the time that they haven’t had any real confrontations, 50 Cent has taken that time to hone his trolling skills while Ja Rule moved more into the business side of music.

Now it looks like the beef might be back on following Ja Rule’s Verzuz battle against Fat Joe last night, September 14, at Madison Square Garden. As hip-hop fans wondered what 50 Cent’s reaction to the event was considering the history between the two, Irv Gotti got involved.

In the comment section of the live stream, Gotti took it upon himself to try and silence Fifty fans. “All y’all talking that 50 sh*t. All good. He got beat up stabbed up. Shot up. And sued us. That’s all I’m gonna say. Your hero ain’t what you think he is. Period. And Facts,” he posted.

Of course, that was going to elicit a remark from the master troll himself as Fifty replied early this morning. “Wtf am i trending for, I said i ain’t doing whatever that shit is they doing. I put they whole label out of business, f*ck with me if you want to. I would stay out of my way if i wasn’t me. LOL,” he said. His fans know that there is no backing down from war once he’s been called out and that Fifty is more than willing to go the distance if needed.

It looks like Ja Rule isn’t backing down either as he called into the Big Tigger Morning Show and to give his two cents. His take on it is that there would be no 50 Cent anyway, without Eminem. Ja Rule also seems to be taking the comments more personally as he stated that it goes beyond rap.

“I’m fighting a real fight! And then, on top of it all, come on man, I’m battling seventeen rappers. It ain’t like I was just battling [50 Cent]. He likes to throw his hat on it like he was the guy, man, stop. Eminem made you, created you. You’re nothing without that f***ing white boy. Stop it!” he added.

Konshens Reveals What He Learned From Cardi B After Their Collab

Konshens says collaborating with Cardi B taught him something important as an artiste.

Since 2005 Konshens has been churning out the hits. He built a significant fanbase in Japan before becoming a household name in Jamaica and across the Caribbean. Even as his career kept rising in 2017, he recalls learning an invaluable lesson from a young artist who was also trying to make her way in the music biz.

Konshens was speaking to the Miami New Times and remembered his first encounter with now superstar Cardi B at a studio in New York City in 2017. They were meeting to put together the track “Back It Up.” The track was endorsed by fans, and to date, it has over 850,000 views on YouTube. It was made along with Hoodcelebrityy for her Gangsta B*tch Music, Vol. 2 mixtape.

“Cardi B showed me that: ‘Listen, give people a shot, bro,” he said when asked about the collab. Konshens added, “Even in this age when everything is numbers and everything is internet, listen to people. Give people a shot man, you never know.”

A lesson that many fans have touted to other artists over the years, including veterans like Bounty Killer and Beenie Man. Both artists have helped out younger artists trying to make their breakthrough into the highly competitive dancehall arena.

Konshens now lives in South Florida as he seeks to keep providing impetus to his career. While no date has been confirmed, the “Bruk Off Yuh Back” singer is working on his fourth studio album, which he promises will be the best one of his career so far.

His belief is that the upcoming album needs just two of the songs to be completed, and then it would be his best work.

“One is all ready — all it needs is a verse from a Latin artist. It needs to be a hardcore gyal song like ‘Bruk Off Ya Back.’ It needs that because when you listen to the album, there’s a lot of diversity going on, and there’s different topics and directions but there’s not that one,” he added.

Kanye West Rushed ‘Donda’ To Drop Before Drake’s ‘CLB’ Says Collaborator Todd Rundgren

Did Kanye West rushed Donda so he could drop before Drake?

The G.O.O.D. Music rapper’s latest project has been met with mixed and drastically differing reviews. Some have argued it is his worst effort yet, while others think it is a masterpiece. Kanye West is anything but conventional, and it seems his album-making process is no different. He is notorious for stacking up collaborations from rappers, singers, and artists of all kinds, and it seems some people find this practice inconsiderate and inefficient.

In a new interview with UCR, multi-instrumentalist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Todd Rundgren admitted that he spent far too much time contributing to Donda, only to find that none of his work made the final cut.

“I have three albums worth of Kanye stems on my computer,” Rundgren said. “Because I kept getting called by Kanye to add vocals onto the record. When I got into the homestretch in July, I just said, ‘That’s enough for me. I have no idea whether and of this is being used.’”

Todd added that Kanye West is not very responsive to his collaborators, so he never knew what was being done with his work. Then he joked, “There is the possibility that I’m in there somewhere. There’s so much junk in that record!”

The musical legend went on to call Yeezy a “dilettante”, or a person who makes attempts to cultivate art without really committing to understanding it. Basically, he called Kanye a poser.

Even more scathingly, Rundgren claimed that Donda was rushed because Kanye wanted to beat Drake to the album drop punch.

“It’s because Drake was running the whole process,” he said. “He was too afraid that Drake would one-up him, so he hurried up and released the album the weekend before Drake could get his out. And in the end, Drake ate his lunch anyway.”

The Certified Lover Boy versus Donda debate continues to rage on, with many fans choosing CLB as the clear winner while diehard Kanye fans continue to defend Yeezy’s work at all costs. Clearly, Todd Rundgren is not one of them.

Ja Rule Reacts To Rumored 50 Cent Appearance At Fat Joe Verzuz

Ja Rule doesn’t seem to be a fan of 50 Cent showing up in the middle of his Verzuz battle with Fat Joe set for September 14.

Ja Rule and Fat Joe will come head to head in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and while Ja Rule initially wanted a battle with 50 Cent, he isn’t keen on having the ‘Get Rich or die tryin’ rapper popping in.

Since the Verzuz battle was announced, fans have been pushing the rumors that 50 might pop up with a guest appearance which they seem quite excited about.

However, Ja Rule doesn’t seem to care about any of that.

According to the Murder Inc. hitmaker 50 Cent showing up would be “the dumbest thing ever.”

“Listen, that would be the dumbest thing ever,” he told TMZ. “You didn’t want to get in the gauntlet with me, but you want to make a guest appearance? Come on. Bring it on, baby! I ain’t fearing nothing, yo!”

He added that even if 50 Cent showed up, he was confident he could still beat both him and Fat Joe at the same time.

Ja Rule also had a response to Fat Joe taunting him that he would bring him into the projects despite Ja having more hits than Fat Joe.

@fatjoe IG

“Crack’s talking about dragging me through the streets and breaking out street records,” Rule said. “Listen, it’s like I told him, man: I’m comfortable there. I love it there. Like, where y’all think I’m from? Where you think I grew up at? I’m Hollis, Queens.”

Both Ja Rule and Fat Joe are from Queens, and that means that despite the threatened rivalry with 50 Cent, fans will get a great show.

Ja Rule had previously challenged 50 Cent to a Verzuz battle, but in his usual style, 50 Cent declined but also trolled him on Instagram in his typical style.

At that time, the rapper said that 50 Cent was afraid of coming up against him, saying that the G-Unit legend don’t want any smoke.

Meanwhile, it seems that Fat Joe has an explanation for why 50 Cent wouldn’t do the Verzuz. Joe says that 50 Cent is too busy with his many TV shows that making him a lot of real money outside of rap.

Pop Smoke Gravesite Vandalized And Thieves Tried To Remove His Body

Pop Smoke’s gravesite was badly vandalized and it’s quite upsetting for his family and fans

The late rapper’s final resting place has reportedly been vandalized by unknown persons who also seemed to have tried to get into the casket holding the late rapper’s body. According to news reports, Pop Smoke‘s body is laid at a mausoleum that was vandalized. The persons who committed the act have not been identified but left behind waste from smoking marijuana and debris by his gravesite.

According to TMZ, who first reported the incident, the vandals smashed the late rapper’s crypt resulting in the headstone being broken in places and cracked. They also appeared to remove parts of the crypt in what appears to be an effort to remove or get into the casket holding his corpse.

Pop Smoke, whose real is Bashar Barakah Jackson, was shot and killed in February 2020 in a home invasion for his belongings and was laid to rest at the Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.

According to news reports, no other grave was vandalized or affected except Pop Smoke. While the authorities did not confirm if the rapper’s casket was tampered with, reports suggest that there were scratches and marks left on the ground as if vandals dragged his casket.

Eyewitness photos also showed what looked like a door or a concrete slab that protected the rapper’s body from other bodies in the mausoleum. Another object that was said to be part of the rapper’s wall enclosure was also found nearby.

Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the incident. A blank plaque was placed where Pop Smoke’s headstone previously sat while his family cleaned up his gravesite.

Future & Drake Performed ‘Way 2 Sexy’ & ‘Life Is Good’ At Wireless Festival

Future performed at the Wireless Festival at Crystal Palace Park in London and shocked fans when he called out collaborator Drake to hit the stage with him.

It’s probably not that much of a surprise that Drake was in London, having posted on his Instagram stories recently that a large entourage had arrived to pick up him and members of his team from their private jet.

Fans were surprised, however, to see the Certified Lover Boy artist up close personal as the stage allowed as he and Future performed a number of their bangers, including their recent “Way 2 Sexy” and the double platinum-certified “Life is Good.”

A projector behind Future read “Hey Wireless, The Boy is home,” prior to Drake coming out on stage. It’s Drake’s first time in front of an audience this size since the pandemic began a year ago and since the rapper reportedly had Covid and also suffering a leg injury causing his CLB album to be delayed.

Friday night was also the first time Drake and Future performed the hilarious “Way 2 Sexy,” which is one of the songs ‘Certified Lover Boy’ getting heavy rotations on streaming platforms.

Future and Drake have been close friends for years and often collaborated on each other’s albums. In 2015 the two collaborated on a joint mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive, comprising of 11 songs including “Big Rings” and “Digital Dash.” The project has since been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
